Fascinating Personal Anecdotes | About My work

I've always thought of my artworks as tiny glimpses into other worlds, a peek into a realm of my own creation. A personal invitation for the curious to explore further, much like a good book would. A special kind of escape through my artwork.

In this painting, we have Versé. She is Dormé’s sister, another popular character of mine that I often sketch. One thing I love to do is ask my viewers and readers for their thoughts and observations. I often pose questions such as "What do you think she is thinking?" or "Where do you think she is going?" The responses I receive always bring a smile to my face because each one is unique.

Some of the observations were things like: “Where' the next party she will visit for free wine.” “Thinking of her next book read.” “She looks unimpressed at someone.” “She is silently judging you.”

It's fascinating to see how my work can be interpreted in so many different ways and resonate with people on a personal level.

What do you think she is thinking or going?
